Description

Gold-coated glass slides are ideal for applications in cell culture, crystallography, protein purification and optical microscopy.

Gold thin films with thickness of 10 nanometers are semitransparent throughout the visible spectrum, and exhibit a maximum transmission at wavelengths of light between 500-nm and 600-nm.  In contrast, the reflection spectrum for these gold thin films exhibits a minimum at 500-nm wavelength.
