I dropped my badge on the floor / table / seat, can I still use it?

Probably. If this happens, remove the sensor from the outer protective cover and inspect it carefully. If there are no cracks in the glass and no dirt sticking to the sensor, immediately insert the sensor back into the cover and go ahead and use it. Otherwise discard the badge you dropped and get a new one.
